NEVI’s First Stations Are Live & Powered by the Innovative Software from EV Connect!
Hawai‘i is accelerating its push toward sustainability with its first two NEVI-funded electric vehicle charging hubs. Located at the Kahului Park and Ride on Maui and Aloha Tower Marketplace on O‘ahu, these 150-kilowatt Tritium DC fast chargers (four per location) are the fastest in the state and accessible to all EVs, making clean transportation more convenient and equitable than ever.
This milestone underscores Hawai‘i’s dedication to electrification and environmental stewardship, rooted in traditional values of caring for the land and has earned national recognition from U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, highlighting its importance in advancing EV infrastructure across the country.
The chargers, procured for HDOT through National Car Charging’s Hawai’i-based subsidiary Aloha Charge, are powered by EV Connect’s industry-leading management software, setting a new standard for EV infrastructure in the state.
