Jose Abel Flores joined NCC in 2024, driven by his lifelong passion for sustainability and environmental advocacy. He views EVs and charging infrastructure as key to fighting climate change and improving air quality. A defining moment for him was his participation in the Dakota Access Pipeline protests at Standing Rock, where he saw firsthand the dedication of communities defending their environment.
Abel studied Natural Resource Economics and Energy Science at the University of Nebraska. With experience in solar, sustainability reporting, and the nonprofit sector, he’s excited to be part of a growing industry with strong government backing. When he's not advocating for clean energy, he enjoys hiking, camping, and house music, and loves sharing the benefits of EVs with anyone still on the fence.
